Following a recent complaint about advertising claims made for H-F Antidote Gel, we are happy to announce that the MHRA has NOT upheld the complaint while stating that “no other product for HF burns holds a UK Marketing authorisation.”

Crest Medical HF Antidote Gel is effective in the treatment of skin burns caused by Hydrofluoric Acid. The gel, when applied to the wound reacts with the Hydrofluoric Acid to neutralise the powerful fluoride ion, which if untreated, could cause a fluoride ion attack resulting in the serious condition; Hypocalcemia.
