Graham Leslie – Chairman

Graham developed and then sold the largest independent ‘over the counter’ pharmaceutical business (Galpharm) in the UK. From 1989 to 1993 he was the chairman and director of Huddersfield Town Football Club. Graham has over 30 years experience of establishing and managing successful businesses in the healthcare sector.

Alastair Maxwell – Managing Director

Alastair, along with his two business partners Matthew Courtney and Peter Mason, is a major shareholder in Crest Medical since the company was taken private in April 2008.

Having being in the healthcare industry for over 15 years, Alastair  has held senior management positions at Alliance UniChem and was Managing Director of Crest Medical prior to its acquisition by Healthcare Enterprise Group in 2004.

Alastair’s reputation within the first aid industry is well respected and his product knowledge of first aid consumables is second to none with major manufacturer links being an invaluable asset.

Matthew Courtney – Director

Matthew offers over a decade of accomplished experience within the commercial and markerting sector. Core responsibilities within this period of time include achievement of high sales growth, brand development and staff management.

Beginning his career in the sports industry, Matthew became the youngest ever appointed Marketing Manager within the Football League’s 117 year history. Prior to the inception of 44 First Aid, incorporating First Aid Warehouse and First Aid Supplies, Matthew worked with brands such as UniChem, BUPA, RAC, Asda, BAE Systems and Blue Dot, whilst holding the position of Marketing and Sales Director for a Leeds based design company.

44 First Aid saw Matthew, together with his two business partners, develop and establish First Aid Warehouse as the dominant player within the online medical market.

Peter Mason – Director

With 22 years experience in occupational healthcare, first aid and medical supplies, peter has set up and managed divisions for three major medical companies including Alliance UniChem, Southern Syringe Services and Surgicon.

In the late 1980’s Peter was involved with the acquisition and merger of Hildreth and Southern with Surgicon Ltd. Subsequently the business was sold to Philip Harris in 1996. Peter then set up and managed the ‘Diagnostic and Medical’ product divisions for Surgicon, UniChem and Southern Syringe Services.

Peter returned to the first aid industry as co-founder of 44 First Aid, incorporating First Aid Warehouse and First Aid Supplies, in 2005.
